Raikkonen to be ‘star in a reasonably priced car’

Kimi Raikkonen to make an appearance on TV show Top Gear
Kimi Raikkonen is to become the latest Formula 1 driver to appear on the hit TV show Top Gear.

The Lotus driver will appear on the final episode of the current series, due to air on Sunday 11 March, where he will be interviewed by host Jeremy Clarkson before hitting the track to set a lap-time in the series' 'reasonably priced car'.

Raikkonen will attempt to beat the best time set last year by Sebastian Vettel, with the German lapping the circuit around the Dunsfield Aerodrome in 1min 44.0secs.

Other F1 stars to have taken on the challenge include Rubens Barrichello, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

I can't wait to see this next Sunday, it will he good and interesting! I was looking at some stats last week... I love stats and I noticed that Raikonen has a huge amount of fastest laps and pole positions more than I even thought. Also one of the few and last guys to have a lot of start to finish wins with fastest lap and pole position and never lose the lead. I think that Raikonen is one of the most naturally talented guys in F1. If he had had better reliability and the motivation of someone like Vettel the guy would have been a nightmare to beat!

It will be interesting to say the least!! People are always down on Kimi and say he is dull etc. Take a look at some of his comments and he is exceptionally quick, sarcastic and funny. Yea he hates talking to the media the way modern F1 drivers have to and makes no secret of it. Clarkson isn't exactly the worlds most refined journalist and he might get more from Kimi than most.
