HRT will get the chance to put some mileage on the new F112 before the opening round of the new F1 season in Australia after confirming plans to run the car at Catalunya on Monday.
The team had planned to run the car during the four-day test that concluded today [Sunday] but was unable to get the car ready and to the circuit in time to join the majority of the field on track.
The Spanish outfit has now confirmed however that the car will take to the track in Barcelona on Monday for its first run, with the team taking advantage of the filming day regulations to complete a limited amount of running.
Narain Karthikeyan will be at the wheel of the car for his first outing in an F1 machine since the Indian Grand Prix
back in October, while Pedro de la Rosa
and test driver Dani Clos will both be present to monitor the first run of the new machine.
With the run being carried out as a filming day, the team will be limited to 100km of running and will have to use Pirelli's demo tyres.
