Karthikeyan hits out at shameful comments

Narain Karthikeyan hits out at comments made by Sebastian Vettel
Narain Karthikeyan has hit out at comments from Sebastian Vettel after the pair clashed during the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.

Defending champion Vettel clashed with Karthikeyan while lapping the HRT driver in the closing stages of the race, leaving the Red Bull man with a puncture that required a pitstop that dropped him out of the points.

Vettel pulled no punches after the race, referring to 'idiots driving around' as he reflected on missed points, but Karthikeyan has now responded to the comments which he insisted weren't acceptable.

"For a world champion to say things like that is really shameful," he told the Hindustan Times. "It is really unprofessional. For a driver who has achieved so much to take out his frustrations on me just because he is having a difficult year is really sad.

“One does not expect a professional sportsman to be such a cry baby."

Karthikeyan also insisted that he didn't agree with the decision taken by stewards after the race to hit him with a 20 second penalty for causing an avoidable collision.

"They didn't care about what I had to say,” he commented, “because Mr Vettel told them god knows what when he went and talked to them."

I may be commenting out of turn here but from what I remember, Narain didn't turn into Vettel. Sebastien seemed too eager to take up his racing line and moved over too early ( in other words didn't seem to know he wasn't fully passed the HRT ). My view is Seb should take it as a racing incident and move on...
