McLaren confirms Button and Hamilton for Goodwood

Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton to demo McLaren's 2011 F1 car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

McLaren duo Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton will appear at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, it has been announced.

As Festival of Speed regulars, Button and Hamilton know every inch of the demanding 1.16-mile Goodwood hillclimb and they will demonstrate the McLaren-Mercedes MP4-26 – last year's car, plus the McLaren MP4-12C supercar.

McLaren-Mercedes is one of seven current F1 teams expected to attend the Festival this summer, with Red Bull Racing also confirmed and due to be in action with two-time F1 World champion Sebastian Vettel and his team-mate Mark Webber.

Button will be present at Goodwood on Saturday 30 June, with Hamilton taking to the Hill on Sunday 1 July.

I would love to meet Jenson and have a conversation with him. He just seems like one of those drivers that'll have a chat about anything and for a long period of time, he's a very friendly character.
