I have total faith in Red Bull, says Vettel

Sebastian Vettel: I admit, the first two races weren't exactly perfect but they weren't that bad either...

Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel is remaining positive in the countdown to the Chinese Grand Prix and has insisted he has 'total faith' in the Milton Keynes-based squad, despite a less than great start to the new 2012 F1 season.

Vettel has scored just 18 points this year, a stark contrast to how he began his defence in 2011, when he won the two opening races in Australia and Malaysia. However while he admits it is not the start he would have liked, he still thinks they can turn things around, hopefully beginning in Shanghai this coming weekend.

“I admit, the first two races weren't exactly perfect but they weren't that bad either. We proved we can able to compete with the strongest teams and that's very important,” he wrote in his Red Bull blog.

“When you get a mishap like the one I had in Malaysia, however, well then even we are helpless - but that's just how F1 works.

“We now have 18 more races ahead of us and we will do all we can to defend our titles. I have total faith in the team, the car and myself.

“There's still much for us to do, but together as a team we can accomplish anything,” he concluded.

Seb was in worse points position this time in 2010. I'm not worried about anything except out developing McLaren. Keep your head up men, and you will do your best!
