McLaren race drivers to miss Mugello

McLaren to run Oliver Turvey and Gary Paffett during in-season F1 test at Mugello
McLaren has confirmed that it won't use its race drivers for the in-season test that will take place before the European leg of the F1 season.

The three-day session will take place at the Mugello circuit in Italy from 1-3 May ahead of the first European event of the campaign at Catalunya, and is the only test during the season where teams can run their race drivers.

Despite that, McLaren has confirmed that Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button will both sit out the test, with the team instead electing to make use of its test drivers for the session.

Oliver Turvey and Gary Paffett will therefore be in action during the test, where all twelve teams are expected to appear.

Blzbub, if as you say the car was so good that anyone can drive it sure doesn’t bode well for what is called on here by some as the best driver ever in F1 after netting three third place, two from pole (finishing two places backwards from where he started) and one from starting second (finishing one place backwards from where he started), in my book that is regress and not progress and when one is in that position he needs all the testing he can get.
