RBR looking for new faces at British GP

30 April 2012

Red Bull Racing has resurrected a favourite marketing tie-up to offer fans the chance to put their faces and pictures on the cars Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber will run at this year's British Grand Prix.

Organised on behalf of Wings for Life, the charity striving to find a cure for spinal cord injuries, the initiative is open to anyone who wants to 'race' with the team's most recognisable faces at this July's Silverstone race.

To take part, fans need to go to facesforcharity.com, upload a photo and, most importantly, donate €15 to Wings for Life. Red Bull Racing will match every donation made and 100 per cent of all donations will go directly to Wings for Life's spinal cord injury research projects around the world.

Photos can be uploaded until 17 June 2012 – or until all the spaces are sold out. More than 25,000 images will then come together to create an extraordinary collage, which will feature on both Red Bull Racing's RB8s throughout the entire British Grand Prix weekend. The team last tried a similar experiment when David Coulthard partnered Webber in the 2007 British GP, and the Australian is happy to see the concept return.

“I'm proud to be an ambassador for Wings for Life, which is relentless in its search for a cure for spinal cord injury," Webber noted, "I hope as many people as possible take part in this awesome event. Whoever you want to upload onto our cars – your mum, your dog – it doesn't matter, just upload a photo now and join us at Silverstone.”

All donors will automatically be entered into a prize draw to attend the British Grand Prix with Red Bull Racing.
