Jenson Button wowed crowds in Budapest during a special F1 demonstration on Tuesday, making the most of warm sunshine while his rivals were busy testing in the rain at Mugello.

The event, which saw Button take to the streets at the wheel of his F1 machine, came at the end of the 'Vodafone Raise Your Game Weekend', with the mobile phone company having arranged a weekend of activities to promote the modernisation of its network.

Button hit speeds of nearly 200km/h on three runs down a special street course near the Hungarian parliament building before performing a series of donuts for the tens of thousands of fans watching on.

"It was a great pleasure for me to take part in such a huge festival featuring exciting programs in downtown Budapest," he said. "I really enjoyed the running over the afternoon.

"It was special not only because it was hosted in a location different to the usual Formula 1 circuits, and I could drive surrounded by beautiful buildings, but also because I was able to race at a speed that previously only Vodafone's network could achieve."
