Was Maldonado Monaco penalty deserved?

Was Pastor Maldonado treated too harshly or too leniently by the Monaco stewards, following his collision with Sergio Perez?
After a moment of sublime success in Spain, Pastor Maldonado appeared to return to the ridiculous in Monaco, where he collided with former GP2 Series rival Sergio Perez in final free practice on Saturday morning.

The incident served as a precursor to Maldonado's eventual exit from the session, after he crashed at Casino Square, but things only got worse for the Venezuelan an his Williams team as he was slapped with a ten-place penalty.

Although Williams subsequently determined that the gearbox needed to be changed on Maldonado's car, dropping him to the back row, what we want to know is whether you thought that the Venezuelan was dealt with too harshly, or too leniently.

As I said on another thread, this guy historically has Road Rage issues. It it happened only one time, I can see giving him a break or applying "standard" penalties. Multiple instances of using his car as a weapon, show him the door. No place for this in F1, he should have been banned for a race or two and put on probation at a minimum. Let him go to NASCAR if he wants to play bumper cars.

He ran Hamilton out of road in Monaco last year He ran into Hamilton in Spa He got banned from Monaco FOR LIFE, for almost killing a marshal after ignoring the yellow flags He didn't slow for another accident in GP2 causing another heavy smash He has barged a few other people in lesser incidents He rammed Perez in Quali and made a BS story up that didn't wash with anyone. He caused an avoidable incident at start of Monaco, he should know the HRTs were slow and what was going on ahead instead he ploughed into the back of one. No place for him, he uses his car as a weapon and his money as a get out of jail free card, the win he got has been tainted now and it really has soured my taste this season that Williams are using this thug, and I love Williams as a team.
