Was Maldonado Monaco penalty deserved?

Was Pastor Maldonado treated too harshly or too leniently by the Monaco stewards, following his collision with Sergio Perez?
After a moment of sublime success in Spain, Pastor Maldonado appeared to return to the ridiculous in Monaco, where he collided with former GP2 Series rival Sergio Perez in final free practice on Saturday morning.

The incident served as a precursor to Maldonado's eventual exit from the session, after he crashed at Casino Square, but things only got worse for the Venezuelan an his Williams team as he was slapped with a ten-place penalty.

Although Williams subsequently determined that the gearbox needed to be changed on Maldonado's car, dropping him to the back row, what we want to know is whether you thought that the Venezuelan was dealt with too harshly, or too leniently.

As I said on another thread, this guy historically has Road Rage issues. It it happened only one time, I can see giving him a break or applying "standard" penalties. Multiple instances of using his car as a weapon, show him the door. No place for this in F1, he should have been banned for a race or two and put on probation at a minimum. Let him go to NASCAR if he wants to play bumper cars.

Wasn't Maldonado banned from Monaco for life seven years ago? Was this an isolated incident of him being a complete thug on the track? No it wasn't he has done it several times to several people. Sorry but he hasn't learned a lesson and he needs his super licence ripped up and he needs to be turfed out of this sport, it is not footbal a sport for thugs, get him off the track.
