Raikkonen: No hard feelings over Ferrari

Kimi Raikkonen says there are no hard feelings over his departure from Ferrari
Having made his return to the F1 grid this season with Lotus, Kimi Raikkonen insists he has no hard feelings towards anyone at Ferrari for the way in which he departed the sport back in 2009.

The Finn left his role with the team a year early to allow Fernando Alonso to come in as partner to Felipe Massa, and went on to compete in the World Rally Championship in a Citroen in both 2010 and 2011.

Speaking to Autosprint, Raikkonen admitted that the nature of his departure from F1 could have been handled better although he said there were no hard feelings over their decision to let him go early.

"I felt good with them," he said. "I won a world title and now I have no more feelings towards them, neither good nor bad. I'm happy with what I got.

"Things could probably be done better, but what does it matter now? Yes, I know the reasons why I didn't stay with them, but I don't feel like talking about that now. As I said, I have no hard feelings towards anyone."

Raikkonen also denied that money was the reason why talks about a possible return to McLaren for 2010 broke down.

"That's not true,” he said. “The point is that I could see no reason for signing for a certain number of months. I wasn't that desperate, it's not as if I would have done anything to stay in F1."
