F1 2012 launch date confirmed

The launch date for F1 2012 has now been announced
Codemasters has announced that F1 2012 will launch in the UK on 21 September for Xbox, Playstation 3 and PC.

The game is the third to be released as part of a multi-year deal with F1 and will introduce a series of new elements – including the Young Driver Test which will become the tutorial mode for the game.

Improved control and feedback for players using a gamepad has been introduced while hot laps of each circuit with Anthony Davidson will help provide hints and tips to aid drivers during the game.

The new Circuit of the Americas venue will be included in the game while a series of other features are still be revealed.

“The aim for the 2012 game is to make more of a complete FORMULA ONE experience,” F1 2012 creative director Stephen Hood said. “The Young Driver Test gives those up and coming drivers track time to showcase their talents and it's wonderful that we are able to copy the elements that happen on those real Young Driver Test sessions in the game.”
