Di Resta aims to benefit from new management

Paul di Resta inks a management deal with the same man who guides the career of Jenson Button
Paul di Resta says he is hopeful that his new management deal will lead to good things in the coming years as the Scot seeks to resolve his F1 future.

The Force India man had been managed by Lewis Hamilton's father Anthony before that partnership broke down earlier this season, with di Resta having had no manager in place in recent months.

However, di Resta confirmed at Monza that he is now working with Richard Goddard, the same man responsible for managing the career of McLaren's Jenson Button.

The Scot will now look to work with Goddard to secure his F1 future and he admitted he was excited by the new agreement.

“I've clearly been impressed so far,” he told the Press Association. “I'm hoping it's a strong relationship and we will work together and do bigger and better things. There are plenty of opportunities out there, and although it is early days, I believe we'll see the benefits over the next couple of months.

“But having seen what he has done for Jenson, and what the whole pit lane says about the way he works, it was a big thing.

“He's in the background, he does the right things, he's genuine, and it's a good point in my life for me to get good direction and work on something for the years to come.”

@ TonyFall Thats right on the button, well rid of him and his rather secretive Grenadan companies, and i hope Diresta doesn't settle out of court so the truth comes out.
