Liuzzi makes V8 Supercar return

Tonio Liuzzi to race at Surfers Paradise to complete International driver field
Former F1 racer Tonio Liuzzi has completed the line-up of international drivers for the ARMOR ALL Gold Coast 600 after signing up to return to the V8 Supercar event.

Liuzzi partnered Tony D'Alberto at Surfers Paradise last year and has re-signed to partner the Team HIFLEX driver again this time around at the wheel of the #3 Ford Falcon.

"I'm really looking forward to be back to the Gold Coast for my second year with Tony D'Alberto," he said. "I'm happy to be back in the series that keeps growing and is ultra-competitive.

"V8 Supercars is always a dream category to me because I really enjoyed last year and performance and speed were good so I hope to repeat and become even stronger this year. I see that the team and Tony are having a stronger championship than last year so I hope we can aim for a big result this year.

"I've been working on more of my 'Aussie slang' too. My favourite is "bloody oath mate" I'll try and use that when I can!”

Liuzzi is the tenth international ace with experience of F1 to sign up for the race alongside the likes of Nick Heidfeld, David Brabham and Mika Salo.
