Mark Webber starts from pole position, but it is Sebastian Vettel, who lines up second, who leads into the first corner...
Webber tries to fight back, but soon has to admit defeat...
Further back, Kamui Kobayashi gets 'friendly' with both Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg – both are forced out. Kobayashi - who gets a drive through for that first lap incident – is later forced to retire on lap 17 with damage he picked up in the clash
Vettel starts to pull away from Webber and prior to his first stop is more than 4 seconds ahead...
Lewis Hamilton holds off Fernando Alonso early on but after his first pit stop drops back and starts to lose time due to a rear anti-roll bar failure
Kimi Raikkonen is one of the first to pass Hamilton. Lewis eventually drops back to P10, forced to make an extra stop and losing time later on when he runs wide and some Astroturf becomes lodged in the sidepod of his car
Alonso meanwhile is kept honest by a rejuvenated Felipe Massa, who is even told at one point by Ferrari that he is 'too close' to his team-mate...
Vettel comes through to win and take his third victory in a row. The result moves him into the lead in the battle for the F1 2012 Drivers' title...
Vettel is joined on the podium by Red Bull technical director, Adrian Newey and Webber. It is Red Bull's first 1-2 of the season. Alonso has to be content with third...
Red Bull have lots to celebrate post-race. Can anything stop them now?
