Schumacher rules out bike return

Michael Schumacher says he doesn't plan on returning to superbike racing when he retires from F1 for the second time
Michael Schumacher has ruled out a return to two-wheeled competition when he retires from F1 for a second time at the end of the season.

The seven-time champion previously tried his hand at Superbike racing when he retired at the end of the 2006 season, although a fall while racing played a part in him being unable to return to Ferrari in 2009 when he was approached to replace the injured Felipe Massa.

Schumacher's decision to retire for a second time at the end of the current season has led to talk about what the next step in his career could be, but he said he wasn't planning on heading back to bikes.

"I like to learn things and that's also the reason I won't go motorcycle racing again - because I've already done that,” he told Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

“I enjoyed it a lot the last time I did it, but I learned something too and I came to the realisation that it's crazy to start another career so late in life. I don't want that anymore. I don't know what I'm going to do next, but that's the freedom I have now. The plan is to have no plans.”

Schumacher is being replaced by Lewis Hamilton for F1 2013.

Although if the financial situation with Kingfisher Airlines and VJ gets worse, I'd enjoy seeing Schumi rustle up some loose change and buy Force India. Could be worth a giggle.

I like schumi, hes truely one of the grestest EVER F1 drivers but he needs to stay away from bikes it takes a skill to race a motorbike a car driver could only dream of lets face it, its a one way street...from bikes to cars yes its documented but cars to bikes ..it just doesnt happen (queue the torrent of abuse)
