Raikkonen re-signs with Lotus

Kimi Raikkonen to stay with Lotus for the 2013 season after team announces a new deal
The Lotus F1 team has confirmed that it has re-signed Kimi Raikkonen for the 2013 season.

The Finn joined the team for 2012 as he returned to the grid after two years away in the World Rally Championship and has impressed thus far – scoring six podium finishes to sit third in the championship standings.

Although he had been linked with a possible move elsewhere, it was expected that Raikkonen would remain with the Enstone-based team for a second season with team boss Eric Boullier making no secret of his desire to retain the Finn.

Having now taken up the option it had on the 2007 champion, Lotus has confirmed that Raikkonen will remain in a special promotional video released on Monday morning following the Indian Grand Prix weekend.

“You liked Kimi joining Lotus F1 Team this year,” a message on the video said. “You will like it even more next year.

“Kimi Raikkonen and Lotus F1 Team in 2013.”

sakkie. kimi overrated??? well that must mean that lulu, button, webber, etc are even more overrated, as they have been driving better cars than kimi, yet he is ahead of them in the wdc! kimi was underrated by both macca and ferrari, so i wonder what parameters do you use to arbitarily call him overrated?
