A one off go-kart race will be put on by Sky Sports F1 tonight (November 8) to promote Britain's next potential F1 star Alice Powell.

The VIP event at the famous Rye House Kart Raceway is being filmed live for Sky News and will feature on the Sky Sports F1 show.

A number of famous drivers, celebrities and media will be in attendance including, Sky Sports F1 co-commentator Martin Brundle, Sky Sports F1 pundits Johnny Herbert and Anthony Davidson and Sky Sports F1 reporter Natalie Pinkham.

Pinkham is hosting the Celebrity Kart event and all proceeds are in aid of Natalie's Mirela Fund - a project to home twelve severely disabled orphans in Romania.

The fee to participate is ?100 per person, with 26 teams (of 3-5 team members) competing in a 2 hour endurance race.

There will also be a raffle and auction on the night - supported by McLaren with two pit passes for an F1 race next season - and a chance to beat Alice's top score in a Batak competition. McLaren will also be showing off the new MP4-12C sports car.

In addition, Red Bull Racing, Mercedes, Lotus and Williams will also have a presence, as will a few select teams from GP2 and GP3.

The evening will run from 6.30pm to 10.00pm with a bar and hog roast at:
