Sebastian Vettel apologises for swearing in an interview in Abu Dhabi
Vettel issues podium apology
Sebastian Vettel has apologised for swearing during a post-race podium interview in Abu Dhabi last weekend.

The defending F1 champion was being interviewed by David Coulthard when he said that the race had presented Red Bull with 'a chance to 'f*ck it up' after he was forced to start from the pitlane.

With race winner Kimi Raikkonen also swearing during his podium interview, the FIA has written to teams to warn them over inappropriate language and Vettel said he was sorry for the comments he had made.

“I'm terribly sorry for using the wrong word on the podium and I'm sorry if I have offended anyone who was watching,” he said.

“In the heat of the moment, I didn't use the right words and I apologise. I'll do it better next time.”

He shouldn't be apologising for anything, interviewing drivers on the podium is a stupid idea, its right after the race and the adrenaline is still flowing in them, u can see that they all feel awkward while being asked questions and it makes for bad tv.

I hope they all continue to curse on the podium so the whole process gets done away with.
