Sauber is set to sign a joint sponsorship deal alongside English Premier League team Chelsea as the partnership between the two teams moves to the next level.
The F1 team entered into an agreement with the European champions earlier this year, with the Chelsea FC logo featuring on the cars of Kamui Kobayashi
and Sergio Perez, and Sauber branding being displayed pitch-side during Chelsea games.
Now however, a joint sponsorship deal is set to be announced that will see a currently un-named backer enter into an agreement to sponsor both the F1 and football teams.
“The first commercial joint venture will be announce in two months time,” Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay told the Daily Mail
. “You are going to see some results of the partnership very soon.
“We both want to be winners in our field and have the same values. Through our relationship with Sauber, we can go into 19 different markets in one season.”
