Romain Grosjean will drop five places on the grid for the United States Grand Prix after being forced into a gearbox change before the session.

The Frenchman was restricted to just eleven laps in the final practice session on Saturday morning due to an issue with the gearbox on his Lotus, meaning he failed to get time on track on the medium compound Pirelli tyre.

As a result of the issue, Lotus has now been forced into a gearbox change ahead of qualifying which will result in Grosjean dropping five places on the grid.
