Sebastien Buemi hopes to secure an F1 return with Force India for 2013
Buemi 'waiting on Force India'
Sebastien Buemi has revealed that he is one of the drivers in contention to secure a drive with Force India following the departure of Nico Hulkenberg for the 2013 season.

Hulkenberg will switch to Sauber next year in a move that opens up a vacancy with the Silverstone-based team, which is expected to retain Paul di Resta for another year.

Test driver Jules Bianchi and former Sauber man Kamui Kobayashi are amongst those said to be in contention for the drive while former Toro Rosso man Buemi has also revealed he is in the mix.

Despite having been offered an extended deal to remain as test driver with Red Bull, Buemi also revealed that he is watching the situation at Lotus, where Romain Grosjean has yet to be confirmed for another season.

“I am waiting for Force India's answer,” he told Blick, “and everything doesn't seem clear at Lotus. Luckily for me, most teams have not forgotten about me. There's no more I can do."

I wasn't that bothered by Buemi or Alguersuari during their time at Torro Rosso, you can possibly blame some of that on the machinery they were driving. But I didn't see any sparks.

Imho, Kobayashi and Bianchi are probably higher up the list for Force India. The latter because he's tested with them for much of the year, they may choose to promote him or hold onto him for another year as a test driver if a more experienced driver came in.

As for Lotus, I've got a feeling it's a bit of a smokescreen.. They'll probably let Grosjean squirm and then announce him for next year. But if he has another season like last he may be replaced by mid-season.
