Schumacher more mature after second spell

Michael Schumacher says he feels more mature after his second spell in F1
Michael Schumacher says he feels he has matured as a person following his second stint in F1.

The seven-time champion came out of retirement for a three-year run with Mercedes, but secured just a single podium finish during his time with the Brackley-based team before retiring for a second time at the end of the season.

The 43-year-old is yet to decide on his future plans now his career has drawn to a close but he admitted that he felt his return to the grid had changed him as a person.

"It has been an interesting time, particularly as a human," he told RTL. "As a human, if you can go through difficult times and you can still grow and develop yourself, that is what makes you even stronger. That's what I feel.

"I feel like a much more mature person, much more open, much more easygoing than I have ever been before with maybe not having the success that I was wishing for."

Schumacher will be replaced by Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes line-up next season.

I think it has probably taught him a valuable lesson in having a bit of humility and the realisation that Life doesnt always do what you want it to I agree with him - he s probably a nicer person now And Vettel could also do with a spell of misfortune and adversityin his life to make him grow up too before he gets too set in his ways
