Vettel vs. Lorenzeo at Race of Champions

Sebastian Vettel to race against Jorge Lorenzo in the Race of Champions
Sebastian Vettel and Jorge Lorenzo are to go head-to-head on track in the 2012 Race of Champions after the draw for the event in Bangkok took place.

The triple F1 champion and double MotoGP title winner will join five-time motorcycle world champion Mick Doohan in Group B, with the group being completed by runner up of ROC Thailand.

Former F1 racer David Coulthard has been draw in Group A alongside defending champion, and Volkswagen WRC ace, Sebastien Ogier – with V8 Supercar title winner Jamie Whincup and PWRC champion Benito Guerra completing the group.

Group B features Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen and former WTCC champion Andy Priaulx, while seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher and Lotus racer Romain Grosjean have been drawn together in Group D alongside IndyCar title winner Ryan Hunter-Reay.

Indian duo Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok are amongst the drivers taking part in the qualifying event prior to the main Race of Champions.

Even though I am equally a Lorenzo/Vettel fanboy, when it come to this race this I'll be placing my bets on Lorenzo and simpily because I consider him to be the most underrated racer out there.

Look at Valentino Rossi. He isn't too shabby in a race car as previous WRC, Monza rallies & Formula 1 Ferrari tests have shown. Maybe he is one of a kind all round great bike & car racer like Surtees. If Lorenzo is anywhere near as good as Rossi then he'll do well.
