Fernando Alonso has pipped
Kimi Raikkonen to take
Crash.net's ultimate F1 2012 Driver of the Day honour.
Throughout the year and after each of the 20 races that made up the 2012 F1 World Championship, we have asked you to vote for your Driver of the Day and in total we had twelve different gold medallists, with Alonso and Raikkonen both taking the Driver of the Day accolade three times apiece. However it is Alonso that is your 'ultimate' Driver of the Day, as while he and Raikkonen both took the silver medal in our polls on three occasions, it was the Spaniard that was superior in terms of bronzes', with three to his Finnish rivals one.
Interestingly,
Sebastian Vettel wasn't voted Driver of the Day on a single occasion, despite winning five races and successfully securing the Drivers' title for the third year in succession....
