Ferrari reveal plans for 2013 car launch
Ferrari will reveal its 2013-model car in early February at their headquarters in Maranello, the team announced on Wednesday.

The new F2013 will be unveiled "in the very first days of February" before the first official pre-season test for F1 teams, due to be held at the Jerez circuit in Spain from February 5.

The car will be shipped to Jerez for its first public shakedown immediately after being formally unveiled at Maranello.

Meanwhile, the team has also got started with building work at Maranello on a long-term project to expand facilities for the F1 operation

According to a team press release, the first excavations for the foundations of a building that will house the offices of the management, engineers and administrative staff along with the working areas of the team has now got underway in the New Year, after the team ironed out the last planning details with the local district officials.

The building will replace a former car park located between the team's current facilities and the Cavallino restaurant, with the company aiming to create a bespoke environment customised to the need for the F1 operation and also hoping to retain the team's "Best place to work in Europe' title recently received from the Financial Times.

The team also confirmed that its traditional "Wrooom" media and team-bonding event will this year be held in the Dolomites at Madonna di Campiglio from January 14-18.

Among those attending will be drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa and team principal Stefano Domenicali, who will be meeting up with and taking questions from representatives of the media from all over the world.
