Williams has announced that its 2013 F1 car won't appear in the opening test of the year after confirming the launch date for the FW35.

The Grove-based team will reveal the car on 19 February at Catalunya ahead of the second group test of the season - making it the first team to confirm that its new machine won't be on track for the Jerez test, that runs from 5-8 February.

Instead, the team will run the FW34 for the first on-track session of the year with a number of key development parts fitted ahead of the launch of the FW35.

The car will however run in its 2013 livery for the Jerez test.

Williams will field a new line-up this season, with test driver Valtteri Bottas moving into a race seat alongside Pastor Maldonado.
