Mercedes and Toro Rosso to launch their 2013 F1 challengers in Spain

The wraps will come off two more 2013 F1 challengers later today as both Mercedes and Toro Rosso reveal their new cars at Jerez.

The two teams have elected to take the wraps off their cars at the circuit ahead of the opening pre-season test of the new season at the Spanish circuit; which gets underway tomorrow [Tuesday].

Mercedes will be the first team to show off its new car, with the F1 W04 set to be uncovered at 13.35 local time, with the team hoping the actual launch goes somewhat better than the 'sneak peak' that caused the team's web server to crash.

The new car from the Brackley-based team is one of the most anticipated of the year, with Mercedes hoping that the F1 W04 will be capable of helping Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg to challenge for the title.

Toro Rosso meanwhile will launch the STR8 later this afternoon, with Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne hopeful that the car will be a step forwards compared to the STR7 that the pair competed with last season.
