Ascanelli stops at Brembo

Former F1 technical director Giorgio Ascanelli will join brake giant Brembo later this month.
Former Toro Rosso technical director Giorgio Ascanelli will join the Brembo Group as chief technical officer, heading up the company's advanced research and technical development departments.

The Italian has long experience in the world of four wheel motor racing, having begun his career in 1985 with the mechanical engineering staff of Scuderia Ferrari. He went on to work for Abarth, Benetton and McLaren, before becoming technical director, first with Maserati Corse in 2002, and then with Toro Rosso from 2007 to 2012.

His arrival gives brake giant Brembo fresh impetus and brings new skills to a company that has always used steady investments in R&D to offer ultra high performance products at the leading edge of technology.
