Sergio Perez has said he feels lucky to have Jenson Button as his team-mate for the 2013 F1 season after having the opportunity to work alongside the Briton at the circuit for the first time last week.

Perez sampled his new McLaren alongside Button in the opening test of the year at Jerez, with the pair each spending two days on track with the new MP4-28.

Reflecting on the experience of working with the 2009 title winner thus far, Perez said he felt lucky to be alongside a driver with a championship crown to his name and was benefitting from the experience of the 33-year-old.
