QUIZ: A history of the Australian GP in ten questions

It's nearly here: just a few more days and we'll be racing in Albert Park in Melbourne. And Crash.net is going to set the Antipodean scene for you with our quiz about all things related to the Australian GP!
It's been a tense build-up to the first race of the season, starting with all the team launches unveiling their 2013 cars right through to their first runs on track at Jerez and Barcelona. And there's been surprising drama in the driver market as well, with Jules Bianchi going from losing out on a Force India drive to Adrian Sutil, through to his making his début for Marussia in place of poor Luiz Razia - all in the space of 48 hours!

But that's all done, and now the teams, drivers, cars and all their equipment are touching down in Melbourne for the first race of the season. So are you actually ready for the season opener at Albert Park? We thought it would be a great idea to help make you into a veritable Wizard of Oz by giving you a scene-setting quiz about the history of the F1 Grand Prix of Australia. Think you know all about the event? Then here's your chance to prove it in Crash.net's bonzer, fair dinkum, down under quiz.

Okay, that's enough of the embarrassingly poor Aussie accent impression, let's get down to some serious work! This month's quiz ranges over the whole history of the Australian GP, from last year's race all the way to back to before the event was even part of the F1 championship. Some questions will be easy, others rather more fiendish, but all of them should be packed full of entertaining and interesting facts about the race and the many vivid events and personalities that have made the Grand Prix the success that it's undoubtedly been over the years.

All you need to do is CLICK HERE and you'll be taken to the first page of the quiz. Do try and avoid 'spoilers' first time through by staying away from online sources such as Google, Wikipedia, Crash.net's news archives and other F1 reference sources. It's way more satisfying to know that you can proudly take genuine sole credit for your own achievements when you click on the 'Post your comments' link below to let us know how you fared.
