McLaren and Vodafone will conclude their seven-year title partnership at the close of the 2013 F1 season, it has been announced.
Vodafone said that having 'met and exceeded all of its highly ambitious targets', it has decided to end its relationship with the Woking-based outfit to 'focus on business priorities away from F1 sponsorship'.
McLaren meanwhile added that while the current deal is in place with Vodafone, it will 'not disclose its new title partnership' - although it did reveal it will make an 'exciting announcement' on December 2nd, following the last Grand Prix of the season at Interlagos in Brazil.
“We're immensely proud that, having been set a number of ambitious challenges by Vodafone back in 2007, together we've met or exceeded each and every one,” said McLaren
team principal, Martin Whitmarsh.
“Our focus [now] is on continuing to drive results for all our partners throughout the 2013 season and we look forward to making a major title partnership announcement towards the end of the year.”

teamed up back in 2007 and over the last six years, the Vodafone McLaren
Mercedes team has scored 34 F1 victories, won the 2008 F1 Drivers' World Championship with Lewis Hamilton
and last season won seven races – no other team won more.
“Vodafone continues to be only McLaren's fourth title partner in its 50-year history and we are committed to innovate together, both on and off the track, for the rest of this year,” added a press statement.
