Lotus vows to push

Lotus says it will push hard to help Kimi Raikkonen as he battles to try and beat Sebastian Vettel to the 2013 F1 title
Lotus team boss Eric Boullier insists that the team will continue to do all it can to try and help Kimi Raikkonen in his bid for the F1 title.

Raikkonen came through from eighth on the grid to take second in Bahrain, minimising his losses to championship leader Sebastian Vettel to return to Europe just ten points away from German in the title race.

The result was Raikkonen's third podium of the season alongside his similar result in China and his victory in Australia, with Boullier saying the Lotus team would do all it could to support the Finn in his title bid.

"He's going to put pressure on Vettel, definitely," Boullier was quoted by ESPN. "We will give everything to support him to obviously put the right pressure on him and force maybe Sebastian to crack under pressure. With everything he's clearly an incredible finisher and nobody can stop him to get another lot of races finished."

Lotus is set to bring new updates for the E21 when F1 returns to Europe for the Spanish Grand Prix and Boullier said he hoped that those upgrades will help the team to keep pace in the title fight.

"I have to thank the guys back in Enstone again because they are doing a great job,” he said. “I know the figures that are coming for the future so the development of the car is going very well and it's going to be interesting to see and to follow."

They should support his bid. they can't rely on Grosjean can they? And besides if they can't keep up with the other teams in the development race, that red bull seat is getting really appealing.
