Chilton to star at The Warren Classic & Supercar Show
2 May 2013
Marussia F1 driver Max Chilton will attend The Warren Golf and Country Club's inaugural classic and supercar event this Saturday (May 4), it has been confirmed.
The event, which has been acknowledged around the world for its unique collection of historic and supercars, provides a 'once-in-a-lifetime opportunity' for visitors to view the vehicles whilst mingling with owners and stars of sport and TV.
“I'm really looking forward to meeting visitors to The Warren Classic and Supercar Family Experience,” said Chilton. “The event provides an excellent opportunity for families and car enthusiasts to see a wide selection of the world's most magnificent automobiles. Both Classic and Supercars will be well represented and, given the Warren's setting, it should be a fantastic day!”
The addition of Chilton to the day's entertainment, along with his Marussia racing car, provides additional reasons for families to attend. Also, in a rare opportunity for public viewing, the complete Le Mans XJR works team will be present - provided by Maldon's JD Classics.
“It is a fantastic coup for The Warren to get both Max and Marussia along to the event along with the Le Mans XJR works team," added The Warren Golf & Country Club managing director, Tony Stanton.
"These additions, alongside the selection of world-class cars and entertainment, only make for a more spectacular day!”
Set in the tranquil 350-acre scenic estate in Woodham Walter, near Chelmsford, the unique one-day event will feature family entertainment including an air display by ex-Red Arrows 'The Blades' sponsored by HastingsDirect, live music, fun, games and a number of exciting competitions – including a chance to win a Mercedes Benz worth £30,000.
The Warren Classic & Supercar Family Experience will also host the 2013 Warren Concours, an impressive tribute to the finest of the classic car genre spanning ten decades, right through to the might of contemporary supercars.
Parking is free and public entry on the day is from 10.30am, with tickets priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children aged 5-16 and £25 for a family of four. Entry for classic car owners is from 7.30am and priced at £20.00 per car with parking in a dedicated area on a first come basis, plus an invitation to enter a novel 'Car Park Concours'.
