Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has been handed a five-place grid penalty for the Monaco Grand Prix, after his team was forced to change the gearbox following his crash in final practice.
Massa crashed around mid-way into FP3, when he locked up on the way into Turn 1 hitting the barriers on the left, before then going straight on and into the Ste Devote tyre wall. The Brazilian walked away unharmed, although it remains to be seen if his mechanics will be able to fix the car in time for qualifying.
"Race against time to repair Felipe's car... same chassis, new gearbox. We hope to make it on time for Q1..." Ferrari said via Twitter
