British Grand Prix: Ticket sales up 100 per cent for 2014

F1 fans have been quick off the mark to book their tickets for next year's F1 event at Silverstone
Silverstone has announced that the first week ticket sales for the 2014 F1 British Grand Prix are up 100 per cent compared with the same sales period twelve months ago.

Richard Phillips, managing director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, has put the uptake down to the success of this year's event and the circuit's 'Loyalty Offer', presenting savings of up to £68.

The new-for-2013 'Loyalty Offer', which was extremely popular amongst fans attending this year's Grand Prix, will remain available via www.silverstone.co.uk until 17:00hrs on Monday July 8. After this time, tickets will go on sale at 'Early Bird' prices.

“The British Grand Prix was back to its best this year and the fans' experience has translated into early interest and ticket sales,” Phillips said.

“On-event sales were up 50 per cent (compared with 2012) over the weekend and that interest has continued to grow. We are now 100 per cent up on the same period last year, with a number of the best seats already sold out. The front rows in both International Pits Straight and Club grandstands, for example, have already been snapped up and others are selling fast."

“The strong sales are undoubtedly down to the success of this year's Grand Prix, which was one of the biggest and best in recent years, and the incentive to book early and make the most of our 'Loyalty' and 'Early Bird' offers,” he added.
