The annual F1 Young Driver Test gets underway this morning at Silverstone - albeit with a twist thanks to a change in the regulations that means race drivers can now take part in order to help Pirelli with tyre testing work.

Three such drivers are due to appear on track on Wednesday, with Daniel Ricciardo, Paul di Resta and Max Chilton all due to spend half a day on track for Red Bull, Force India and Marussia respectively.

Amongst the others on track, there will be plenty of interest in how the likes of James Calado, Robin Frijns and Daniel Juncadella get on on track, while there will be a little bit of F1 history made when Tio Ellinas appears for Marussia.

The GP3 racer will become the first Cypriot to test an F1 car, an honour he earned by being the highest placed driver in Marussia's GP3 team last year.
