Luca Baldisserri, the head of the Ferrari Driver Academy, says he is pleased with performance of Jules Bianchi since moving into F1 at the end of the year.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a solid debut with Marussia having been given an unexpected second chance to join the grid this year following the sponsorship issues faced by Luiz Razia.

Prior to that, Bianchi had seemed set to spend another season in a test driver role after being overlooked for a race seat with Force India but Baldisserri said he was pleased to see the youngster taking the chance with both hands.
