Alonso will accept Ferrari call

Fernando Alonso says that he will be happy with whatever decision Ferrari takes on who will partner him for 2014
Fernando Alonso insists he will support Ferrari in whatever decision it takes over who will be his partner for the 2014 F1 season.

It now appears almost certain that the Spaniard will have a new team-mate for next year amidst suggestions that a deal has already been agreed with Kimi Raikkonen to return to Maranello next year.

Speculation had suggested that Alonso was keen for Ferrari to keep hold of its current number two Felipe Massa, although a winless streak going all the way back to the 2008 season finale – and a lack of consistent front-running performances – seem set to finally cost the likeable Brazilian his job.

With it seemingly now only a matter of time until Raikkonen is confirmed, Alonso was quizzed about who he would like to be his team-mate next year in a Q&A session on Twitter, with the Spaniard saying he would be happy with whoever got the nod from Ferrari.

“It's not possible for me to talk of any name for next year because I have a lot of respect for Felipe,” Alonso replied. “We've been working very hard and close for four years to give Ferrari the maximum.

“Whatever decision the team takes will take will be good for me and we will keep working to give Ferrari the best results possible.”

Sounds like he has NO say in the selection ... If he gets rowdy they 'll let him go ... where does he GO? It's Ferrari till he retires - It's up to him to get along or get going .. Ferrari are after the constructors now... Max effort from 2 top class drivers... interesting to see how Ferdi 's matured..
