Schumacher: Get ready for fireworks!

Michael Schumacher predicts fireworks from a driver pairing of Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen
Seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher has told fans they can expect fireworks next season when Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen join forces at Ferrari.

Raikkonen returns to the team that took him to the 2007 title on a two-year deal as a replacement for Felipe Massa, leaving the team with one of the strongest driver pairings on the grid.

Former McLaren man David Coulthard has said he expects it to be fascinating finding out if the decision to re-sign Raikkonen was the right one, and Schumacher – who was replaced by the Finn when he retired from the sport for the first time – said he was expecting fireworks.

"Ferrari with Fernando and Kimi, that sounds like an explosive mixture," he told Bild. "For motor sport fans, it will certainly mean fireworks, and for their rivals, a tough pairing to overcome.

“It will be exciting to watch."

The only fireworks will be coming from Alonso's side of the garage if he doesn't get his way, I don't see raikkonen giving a **** as long as he gets equal treatment/equipment. "Michael, leave me alone I know what I'm doing"

On the paper, yes! It all depends on the 2014 F1 machine evolution (remember, new regulations?). I'm more worried about the new cars and how they sound! If everything goes well, the 2014 season should be fascinating for WC and Constructor titles. This development certainly isn't a good news to RBR! :)
