Force India test and reserve driver James Calado will get to drive in opening practice on Friday for the Indian Grand Prix.

Calado will replace Paul di Resta, who will sit out the first 90 minute session at the Buddh International Circuit due to illness.

"FP1 will see @JamesCalado make one of his Friday appearances. He will sub for Paul, who will be back in the car for FP2 #FeelTheForce," confirmed a Tweet from the team ahead of its home race.

Speaking via his own Twitter account, Calado added: "Due to Paul being unwell I will be driving tomorrow mornings FP1 session."

It will be Calado's third Friday run for Force India, after performing a similar role in Korea and Italy.
