Despite the rise of the GP3 Series in recent years, is it credible that no-one on the current F1 grid can count a win in the once-prestigious Macau Grand Prix on their CV?
Remarkably, that is the case, with the last man to stand atop the Macau podium and then make it to the top flight being Lucas di Grassi, the 'one and done' Virgin driver, who completed a single season in the top flight before going on to test for Pirelli and Formula E and then make a successful transition to sportscars with Audi.
Among those di Grassi beat around the Guia circuit in 2005? Fellow F1 graduates Robert Kubica, Romain Grosjean, Kazuki Nakajima, Bruno Senna.... and one Sebastian Vettel!
