Takuma Sato has been named as the latest driver who will assist with testing and development of the new car that will used for the inaugural Formula E season.

The former Honda and Super Aguri racer - who has spent recent years competing in IndyCar - will join current test driver Lucas di Grassi in working with the Spark Renault SRT_01E, which has already undergone its first on-track run in France.

Sato's former Super Aguri team is amongst those to have signed up to compete in the first Formula E season, which is due to get underway in September next year in China.
