Daniel Ricciardo will get an early opportunity to make the switch from Toro Rosso to Red Bull as he drives one of Milton Keynes' finest on the streets of Colombo in Sri Lanka.

The Australian will be a guest at the Colombo Night Races, organised by the Carlton Motor Sports Club, over 14-15 December, performing demo runs in one of Red Bull's globe-trotting show cars. A day before the Colombo event, a demo run and a photoshoot will take place in the heart of Galle.

"Its great news that we're bringing the Infiniti Red Bull Racing show car to Sri Lanka, which will be the first time an F1 car has ever run there," team principal Christian Horner told the Colombo Gazette, "Red Bull is all about pushing the boundaries and, hopefully, the fans will enjoy the special chance of hearing an F1 car close up, as well as seeing the smoke and smelling the burning rubber. The Colombo Night Races sounds like a fantastic event for Sri Lanka and one that demonstrates the enthusiasm there is for motorsport competition in the country."
