Pirelli to conduct pre-Christmas Bahrain test

Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes to get early runs with Pirelli's 2014 tyres - reports
Pirelli looks set to conduct a three-day test at the Bahrain International Circuit later this month.

According to reports in the Italian media the test will run from December 17-19, with Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes getting to sample the 2014 prototype tyres. Lotus were also invited but declined on the grounds of costs, it is alleged.

Teams were given the opportunity to run with the 2014 prototype tyres in practice in Brazil last month, scene of the final round in the 2013 F1 World Championship, however, rain meant both Friday sessions at Interlagos were a bit of a wash-out.

Pirelli has still to announce the full details of the test and it is not yet known if the FIA, the sports' governing body, has given it the green light.

err why not Mclaren, a couple of those teams got Mclaren's test banned with old car not so along ago and they still have not done any testing with there old car and pirelli, whereas Ferrari have done multiple old car testing running's, mercedes did current car running and got punished, not sure about red bull. Can't understand why Mclaren has not been allowed to do this new test with those other teams or not been asked. Don't seem fair...
