Jean Todt re-elected as FIA president

Jean Todt to get second four-year term as FIA president
Jean Todt has been unanimously re-elected as president of the FIA, the governing body of world motorsport.

A spokesperson for the FIA told Reuters that all 250 delegates backed the Frenchman for a second four-year term.

Todt was unopposed in the election process after David Ward, his only rival, withdrew last month. It meant the vote at the governing body's Annual General Assembly in Paris today was all of a bit of a ritual.

Todt came to power in 2009, succeeding Max Mosley, and beating Ari Vatanen by claiming 135 votes of the 221 cast.
