Toro Rosso set to run new F1 car at Jerez

Daniil Kvyat reveals that the new Toro Rosso F1 challenger is set to debut in the opening pre-season test at Jerez
Toro Rosso is set to run its new F1 car for the first time in the opening pre-season test of the year at Jerez.

As with most of the teams in the paddock, the Italian outfit has yet to confirm when it will launch its 2014 challenger, although it now seems that the team will make use of all of the pre-season running available by debuting in Spain.

"I've already had a seat fitting in the new car in late December," Toro Rosso's new signing Daniil Kvyat revealed to Championat. "I will train and visit the factory in Faenza in January and meet with the engineers to talk about the new things that the drivers need to know.

"From there it is on to Jerez."

Currently, Lotus is the only team that has revealed it will miss the opening test of the year with its new car making its debut on-track in Bahrain next month.
