New sponsor announced for Williams

Williams announces a new "multi-year sponsorship deal" with global insurance company Genworth, which will see branding on the car in 2014
Williams has announced a new multi-year sponsorship deal with insurance company Genworth.

The new partnership will see Genworth's logos appear on the rear wing endplate of the FW36 as well as on driver overalls and Williams team clothing. Team principal Sir Frank Williams described himself as “delighted” with the deal due to the global nature of Genworth's presence.

"I'm delighted to welcome a brand of Genworth's pedigree to the team for the 2014 season and beyond,” Williams said. “We share a number of similar values such as ensuring excellence and integrity in everything we do and a truly global footprint. We're looking forward to working in close collaboration to help them maximise the benefits that come from a close association with Williams and Formula One."

Peter Barrett, Global Managing Director of Genworth's lifestyle protection division, added: "We are excited to become a partner to Williams. The Williams business, and the strong ideals and foundations that it is built on, are very closely aligned to Genworth's core values. Our partnership with Williams provides Genworth with a powerful worldwide platform which mirrors our global footprint, connects with new global audiences and will ensure client engagement opportunities through the extensive coverage and profile that Formula One receives globally."

Williams is set to reveal a title sponsor ahead when it launches its race livery ahead of the Australian Grand Prix next month, with Martini expected to be announced.

It's about time some of the 'Brazilian money' appeared in the form of a sponsorship as well. I mean, ppl here talked so much about Massa bringing a bag of $ with him but I have seen nothing of the kind so far.
