Bob Bell is to leave Mercedes at the end of November this year after resigning from his position of technical director.

In a statement made on Monday afternoon, Mercedes revealed that Bell resigned his position in December 2013 and will leave at the end of November "with the intention of pursuing new challenges outside the company."

Bell has been technical director at Mercedes since 2011 - joining then-team principal Ross Brawn - with the team having taken seven victories in that time. Previous to his time at Mercedes, Bell has worked for McLaren, Benetton, Jordan and Renault.
