Daniel Ricciardo set the fastest time of a wet final practice session for the Chinese Grand Prix, while Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso failed to set a time.
Early rain left the track wet and cool conditions meant little track improvement was seen during the hour-long FP3. Ricciardo set the pace with a best time of 1:53.958, leaving him half a second of Felipe Massa and Romain Grosjean.
While little can be read in to the times, it was an encouraging sign for Williams to be near the front in the wet after the team struggled during qualifying in similar conditions in both Australia and Malaysia.
Although the tricky conditions are expected to be seen again during qualifying, only four drivers reached double figures in the session as the majority of drivers opted to do little running. The top three completed just 14 laps between them, while Alonso and Hamilton were at the bottom of the timesheets as the Ferrari completed a solitary installation lap and Hamilton two.
Hamilton's Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg also failed to set a time during his four laps in the session, while Kevin Magnussen was the other driver not to complete a timed lap.
There were more issues for Pastor Maldonado at Lotus, who had set the sixth quickest time and completed 12 laps when he was forced to stop his car on the exit of Turn 10 with a third of the session still to run.
Turn 10 was also the location of a spin for Valtteri Bottas, who dropped his Williams exiting the corner but managed to keep the car on the track and was able to continue without damage. A number of other drivers ran off track as they struggled for grip in the cool and wet conditions, with the Turn 14 hairpin proving particularly tricky.
