Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time of the final practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix as Daniel Ricciardo displayed Red Bull's pace.

On supersoft tyres for qualifying simulations, Hamilton set a time of 1:16.758 to just beat Ricciardo by 0.05s. Nico Rosberg was later than the top two in setting his best time and could only go third quickest with a 1:16.874.

Sebastian Vettel was fourth in the second Red Bull but over 0.4s slower than Hamilton having been held up on his quickest lap, although Ricciardo appeared more comfortable with the RB10 around the street circuit.

In warm, sunny conditions which are expected to last throughout the day, once again Ferrari was the third fastest team with Fernando Alonso finishing the session fifth, one place and 0.020s ahead of team-mate Kimi Raikkonen.

It was a case of two-by-two throughout most of the field as the two Force India's of Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg were seventh and eighth ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniil Kvyat in the Toro Rossos who rounded out the top ten. Vergne's session ended with his car running up an escape road but he was able to recover it without damage.

The trend continued with the two McLarens in 11th and 12th ahead of the two Williams cars, but all four were over 1.5s off the pace of the Mercedes.

Jules Bianchi showed up well for Marussia with the 17th quickest time as he finished the session 0.7s outside the top ten.
